Out of curiosity. What kind of effect will a person's religion have on their PR approval chances or SGC? Any religions considered favorable or unfavorable or does it even matter?

PR Approval Probability 2021
Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Posted before but no reply... Hoping for some advice on my next steps.
About me: Singaporean Chinese
Age: 34
Job: Tuition Centre Teacher
Pay: 40k/yr
No house yet. Living with parents. Hoping to get PR then can BTO also.
About wife: Chinese National
Age: 28
Job: Tuition Centre Teacher
Pay: 33k/yr
We are married in Sep 2019
Now on LTVP PLOC until 2022
Has PMLA
Has a degree in education, China normal university
We were living together in China then due to Covid-19, decided to settle and live in Singapore for the long-term. We are in SG since Jan 2020.
Applied PR in Dec 2020 (I know we are about 4 months in, early stage)
It's a trying period to adjust to the pandemic, so definitely seeking to find as much assistance as possible.
I was thinking to add following,
*see MP and expedite PR with letter
I was told it may be helpful.
Then, I also heard if we hurry ICA they may reject based on our current conditions. (i.e. Sponsor salary not so high, no house)
1.
Should I wait more months before seeing MP, or if rejected then look for MP to appeal?
Or get the letter to expedite our process?
2.
What are our chances like at this moment?
3.
Usually how long it'll take for an application similar to ours? Is there a timeline that I should start to be on alert or hurry?
Is it possible to get a reply on 6 months? PR application advised to wait 4-6months.

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Hello everyone!
I am new here. Just like the rest of you, we are also hoping to get PR application approved by ICA. I would like to solicit your valuable opinion on how likely our PR application get approved. Just few information about me and my spouse:
Age : 35
Race : Filipino
Gender : Male
Marital Status : Married
Education : Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (Philippines), Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (Singapore Polytechnic), Specialist Diploma in Occupational Hygiene (Singapore Polytechnic)
Current Field of Work : Working as a Senior EHS Engineer in MNC
My qualifications include: Registered WSH Officer by Ministry of Manpower and a certified Fire Safety Manager by SCDF
Experience: 12+ years
Length of stay : 10 years
Salary : Basic $65k (w/ bonus)
Pass : S-Pass
WIFE
Age : 32
Race : Filipino
Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing
I'm applying with my wife, who used to work in Singapore and now she is in the Philippines as she was not able to get a new job here in SG. She is now working as a Freelance Graphic Designer in the Philippines.
We got married in SG ROM in 2017 and have a 3 years old baby boy.
I applied in 2015 when I was still single and got rejected. That time I don't have yet my qualifications as WSHO and FSM in SG.
What would be the chances of getting our PR application approved considering the above information?

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
I’ve heard good things from some of my friends though... to each his own I guess. Some value the convenience and ease of having someone fill in the forms for them, even if it does not increase their chances.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Mon, 15 Feb 2021 10:37 amDo NOT use a local consulting firm. You will be just throwing good money away. They cannot put down anything except what you tell them. You don't need them to be high class form-fillers. Any N level holder can fill out the forms. But, to gain PR, I would expect you chances are close to zero until you finish your MOE bond. After that, I still wouldn't rate your chances too high considering you will be competing in the "Others" category. This means everybody who isn't either Chinese, Malay or Indian which all have their own categories. All approvals here are competing with everybody else in their individual ethnic category (and the quotas for each is based on the current racial demographics of Singapore. So that means all the "Others" will be competing for roughly .75~1.5% of the total number of expected new PR for any given years. Other's also include caucasians, hispanics, blacks, Vietnamese, Filippinos, Myanmar, etc.

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
You have heard good things? What, like they were accepted? Surely you can see through that. Had they filed it themselves, in all probability they already ticked all the right boxes but those con artists agencies convince them that it was 'their work' that got them accepted. If you read the very, very fine print of those agencies, you will find, if you look for it, a disclaimer stating something like 'we refuse the right to take any potential applicant as our client'. The reason? They, just like us, can read between the lines to know if a rejection is a high probability and it's guaranteed that they wont take the case. If they do, you will still be rejected and they will still have your money. Their damage? For every rejected case they incur, it pulls down their vaunted, but suspect, success percentage. Think about it. I could do the same thing, especially with 25 years in HR here. But I'd rather pay it forward here and tell the truth, hard to swallow or not.
SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers

Re: PR Approval Probability 2021
Hello Everyone!
I have only recently come across this forum and would like to get your opinion on the likelihood of my PR application being approved. I applied in August 2019 and am still awaiting the results. I have browsed through the forum and know that this is not uncommon - but I cannot help being a little antsy!
I am married to a Singapore Citizen (Malay) but applied for myself and not through the spousal-sponsor route.
Age: 36
Race: Chinese
Nationality: Malaysian
Marital Status: Married since January 2018 (No Children)
Education: Bachelor of Arts (Accounting & Finance)
Current Job: Finance Manager
Length of stay in Singapore: 5 years
Salary: Basic $72k
Pass: Employment Pass
Thanks everyone for your time!

You will get it eventually. If rejected, apply via your spouse as the sponsor.naminaminami wrote: ↑Wed, 31 Mar 2021 6:17 pmHello Everyone!

Is it possible to get a reply on 6 months? PR application advised to wait 4-6months.
If possible, please see if the sponsor salary can be slightly improved
whether it will take 4-6 months or longer, no one here will be exactly be able to say. Reason is each application has a different processing time.
