Hello,
I tried to search for the answer in the forum but no luck yet.
We have a pending PR application submitted as a couple where my husband is the main applicant. Both of us were on EP but I recently converted my status from EP to DP (ie my EP was cancelled literally yesterday and I already have DP IPA approved and DP card is being delivered).
Should we keep ICA informed of this change, spouse of main applicant's status from EP to DP?
If so, what would be the best way? We've looked into how we can submit thru the ICA PR status check page, but change of the employment status of spouse is not one of the four options available on the ICA PR status website. Or should I just email them?
Thank you so much in advance for your help!

I also had a change in my wife's pass type while our PR application was pending (it still is pending).
I sent an email with the update and a copy of the new pass to
[email protected], and they were quick enough to acknowledge and update the application.
Hope this helps.
p.s. I was the main applicant. So a similar situation as yours.

Hi keen to know your thoughts on probability , thinking about my for my 3rd application. 1st rejected in 2015 (i was single). 2nd rejected in 2019 (i got married). If i apply again, will be with a son born in 2019.
Me : 42 on (EP since 2013)
Nationality: Australian
Race: Indian
Tax returns since 2013 (8 years)
Income: approx $200k pa basic ($400k with iras after bonuses , commission etc).
Industry: IT (sales)
Education: engineering and MBA from Australia.
Wife is 33: Indonesian
been in SG since marriage in 2017 on DP. Not worked as we wanted to start a family, which luckily we have. Education: Bachelors and Masters from the main uni in Indonesia
Dragging out this old post. I know nothing is predictable but I am always curious to know the moderators thoughts. So my PR application has been pending since May 2021. In August 2022, I was asked to submit full family CV for myself and wife (jobs, salaries, parents etc). The ‘submit requested docs’ is still there. Its now November 2022, so its just over 16 months since initial submission. I saw a post about possible ‘family baggage’. I don’t think so, siblings are all married/ their independent lives in their countries, parents/in-laws are retired with passive income well settled 40+ years in Aus, hardly visited Singapore and not dependant us (1 parent from wife also deceased ). Whaddya reckon moderators?

Okay, I'm thinking it should be okay. However.
What is unknown by us here, but maybe you or your wife know the answer to this question: Is or were any of your wife's family (still in Indonesia) former government officials or Military officers? Potentially of her Grandparents era. If so, this potentially could have bearing as well. Indo and Sg haven't always been that friendly so I'm sure (your wife is rather young) she's probably heard the stories of the McDonald House bombing here during Konfrontasi (1963–1966) under former President Sukarno. Often it's just a fishing expedition by ICA but you can see the reason if you think about it. Barring any links there, I think it's just a matter of time (hopefully) before you get some good news. Baggage comes in many forms......

To give you an idea of the memory of this country (they never forget anything). Here one that happened here in recent memory relating to the above mentioned event.

@Yowsers: We are in same boat. Mine pending since 27th May 2021. In Jan 2022 ICA ask me to submit payslips and my wife education details. And in May 2022 aks me to submit my family details. In Aug 2022 there was additional details requested about my mother in law profile. After that no news yet. I am going crazy everyday thinking about this PR. Not sure reason behind this much long processing for my application. I am sure no one can guess and of course we cant do anything except waiting. Best of luck for you dear

Hi, guys would love to know how you would rate my chances for PR approval?
I know my stay has been on the very, very short side and that ideally I would wait another 1-2 years before applying.
However, my industry has recently been a bit unstable so I would prefer to have the security of a PR rather than rely on an EP. Therefore, I don't want to delay the application too long if possible
Thank you very much for all comments!
Me: 30
Nationality: Swiss
Race: Chinese, both parents Chinese
Time in Singapore: 7 Months
Income: Base 300k, Gross >500k
Industry: Data Science, Machine Learning
Education: Masters and Bachelors from US University (Harvard, MIT, Stanford etc...)
Marital Status: Single

Not going to be easy. Very low chance for another 2 years. ICA clearly knows about the industry stability issues. Consider taking PEP.

Hi Singaporeflyer, just wanted to ask - is the low chance due to my duration of stay in Singapore or is there some other factor working against my application? Thank you for your help!
