Hi,
I wanted to apply PR (second time), I want to ask my chances of approval, if you guys don't mind, based on your experience in this forum. Also does it make sense to apply 2nd if first time is rejected 1 year back

Age: 33
Race: Indian
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Married for 7 years
Education: Engineering Graduate from India
Job: Senior Devops Engineer
Length of stay in Singapore: almost 4 years (worked in the same company till now)
Income Tax Assessment : 4 Submitted
Total Job Experience: 9 Years
Salary:120K+
Pass: EP
Professional Certification : AWS certified Solution Architect Associate, Certified Software Security Practitioner

applying with
- my wife in EP (76k+), Engineering Graduate and been here for 3 years ( working in the same company and submitted 3 Tax assessment)
- Job: Automation Tester
- my son - 4-year-old

Major from last Application in Dec 2019
1. Change in my job and role from Senior Automation Tester to Senior Devops Engineer and leading a devops team in same company.
2. Two professional certification (AWS certified Solution Architect Associate, Certified Software Security) and helping my company to move towards cloud technology
3. Change in Salary (11%)

Wait for 2 more years, show increase in salary and then apply.

consider only after 5 years of stay and work in SG.
If there are steps, many will follow them. Search the forum to get a high level idea

General suggestion here is to wait for at least 2 years after marriage before you apply.

As far as whether you apply under PTS or FT - you might want to share your wife's profile so people can advise. I'm married to a SC but when I successfully applied for PR, I chose PTS because my wife was on a break from work.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all keeping safe. I plan to apply for PR after the tax assessment this year. I have been working in Singapore for a year since June 2020 and would like to try my chances.

My background as follows:
Age : 25
Race : Myanmar
Gender : Female
Marital Status : Single
Education : Bachelor
Current Work Industry: IT Industry 4.0/ Smart Nation
Length of stay : 9 years and counting (studied Sec School+Poly diploma here)
No of tax return : I wasn't taxed in 2020
Salary : Basic 54k ; Gross 67.5k+ with AWS+bonus
Pass : SP (due to increased salary req implemented in June 2020, from the onset of COVID)

I will have to apply under PTE scheme, but I do have family ties (albeit not marital partner, but my parents are working here and younger siblings studying here)
Due to my roots here (family, friends), it's a natural decision for me to settle down here, and hope to convey the intent across in my application - 1st time applying.
Unfortunately, my parents missed the "golden era" of PR grants and the rest is history.

I am quite new to this forum, would be really grateful for your evaluation on my chances, any advice or guidance :)

What does IT Industry 4.0 mean?
Apply after working for 2-3 years.
Since you are here from young, you may score some points for that. That is the only positive factor.

Will be better if you move to EP and then apply. Chance will be better.

Thanks @singaporeflyer! Essentially, my company is working in area that aligns with Singapore's digitalisation and sustainability agenda (set out by Smart Nation Initiative and recently issued SG Green Plan 2030 roadmap) for whole-of-nation efforts. So hoping that that will give me some plus points.
Appreciate your input and I completely agree with you that working a few more years would boost my chances, and definitely working my way towards getting EP slowly but surely.

Can I please clarify with you on this notion that 1st application gives you the highest success rate?
Weighing between giving it a try early next year VS holding off until 2-3 years later, ie. 2024 with a better profile
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this!
