Hi folks, please help me evaluate my chances:

Me (main applicant)
Age: 28
Race: Caucasian
Citizenship: Ukrainian
Duration: 2.5 years
Marital Status: Married
Education: Master in Computer Science from Ukrainian Uni
Current Field of Work: Software Engineering Manager
Salary: Basic 180k+
Company: GoJek
Pass: EP

Spouse:
Age: 29
Race: Caucasian
Citizenship: Ukrainian
Duration: 2.5 years
Education : Masters in Virology from Ukrainian Uni
Current Field of Work: none
Pass: DP

I have a 4y girl and an 8-month boy who is born in Singapore. The daughter is going to a local kindergarden.

I understand that our chances are quite low considering ethnicity. But still, are salary, occupation, company on par with the acceptance criteria?
Also, I have an intention to settle down here, seeking a better future for my kids. Is there anything I could do during the application process to display my intentions? I've heard that many consulting firms will apply supporting documents, such as CV, cover letter, etc. Does that really help? Could it actually harm the application?

Thank you in advance for the feedback!

Not going to be easy mainly because of the quota available to you. Also very short duration of stay in SG

Thank you for the answer. Do you think I should wait some more time to get better chances or just apply now and re-apply if fail in the future?

I'd go ahead and apply, but if not successful, I would wait 2 years from rejection before applying again.

Just to be fair, I basically agree with singaporeflyer, but also I think quota in 'others' is your biggest worry, so nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you have the wherewithal to buy the ticket, why not. If you don't, you won't, if you do, the odds are against you but at least you have a chance, however small. If it fails, wait 2 years then go for it.

Hi All.

Need you suggestion/advice...
I had provided additional details required for my PR application around 4+ months back. I just uploaded the documents but did not inform that explicitly via email. In fact it was not even mentioned so I think just uploading the document was good.

May be now I am thinking too much, but is it good to call ICA and confirm that if they are not waiting for additional information from me? Please suggest based on your experience.

Thanks

If they had asked you to upload and you had uploaded that is more than enough. I dont see a need for you to email them unless they had asked you to confirm the submission via email, etc

If in case they are waiting, they will send you a reminder.

You are just thinking too much in my view

Two years employment and probably a shoe-in, but if you are actually past one year of employment and the fact that you are M'sian Chinese, I'd go ahead and give it a try as you tick all the right boxes with the exception that your salary is a bit low, but otherwise desirable for the demographics here.

NB: please excuse my choice of words, I'm an old former dairy farmer from a long, long time ago, who is used to looking at livestock and sometimes my descriptions tend to look like they come from a stockyard.
