I read that the SG government cares if you transfer money out of SG. Is that true? As an American, I don't have many investment options other than moving my sg income to a US brokerage to invest.
I can't imagine that being true at all. After all, Singapore is the Asian version of Switzerland, and all the corrupt businessmen in China, the corrupt generals in Indonesia, and corrupt government officials in Malaysia, wouldn't put their money into a Singapore bank unless they knew that they could easily get it back out.

Dear All,
My PR application was rejected at 9 months after application date.
Do you think we should submit appeal again ? or wait for new window application period ?

Rejected letter stated that we can try to apply again if there is any changes . What would be our chance to get PR ?

Except we own a car under my husband name, we have no property . Owning property would it be help ? but additional tax is a killer . How much money in the bank is one of the factor to consider by ICA ? Sorry, dummy question , I really have no idea about it.

Let me share our profile here. I applied under my husband for all family members. Me and My husband both are staying in SG since 2008 ( 13 years in SG)

Husband
Age : 39
Job : Facilities Engineer
Salary: 67k per annual
Status : Spass under MNC Company ( 3 years with current company)
Education : Bachelor of Engineering ( University from Myanmar )

Wife :
Same age 39
Job : Finance Manager in SME Company ( 10 years+ with same company)
Salary : 7800 per month + various bonus = average 110k per annum
Status : EP
Education : Bachelor of Accounting ( University from Myanmar )

Two daughters - 4 years and one year old
All of us are Myanmar nationality .

Many agency are approaching to me . Would my approval chance be higher if I engage their service ?

Hoping to get your advise and guidance .. Thanks in advance !

Thanks , I do understand. Do you think I should apply under mine since it's EP instead of my husband who is spass if we wanted to try apply again ? Agent are saying that we should build our profile with Social volunteer to the communities . May I know your advise too. Thanks again

EP is always better than S Pass for the main applicant. But in your case, i don't think the outcome will change so soon considering factors other than the pass type

Don't listen to agents/consultants.

Volunteering used to help. But not anymore.

Current Job: Manager with US tech company (3rd job in SG)

Looking for some inputs to assess my chances of getting an approval, and what can be potentially improved in the profile.

If I recall correctly, they will only know about your salary and your tax details because you declare that info /consent to share with them.
If they really want, they can pay and get your credit score too.
Question, is your credit score taken into account when applying for SC?

ICA won't reveal this. They surely take into consideration financial profile of the applicant. Credit Score - may be yes or no.

Regardless, they definitely consider your financial situation.

Chances seem low, especially considering the number of past failures.

It used to matter when people really did it and ICA saw a value in recognising it also as a valuable contribution to the society. But nowadays, some do it actively till they get PR and once done, they totally stop, which becomes misuse. Thats why it is longer helpful unless they are able to prove that they have done it over a long continuous period of 4-5 years or longer. ICA also understands that some consultancies ask applicants to just do this 4-5 months before the application, which clearly shows the intent to misuse this.

I see, valid. Same with volunteer work for primary school.

Two daughters - 4 years and one year old born locally ? (born in SG)
Many agency are approaching to you, meaning they want your money only.
