Not going to help with an appeal. 49K to 56K will not be considered as a big positive. Wait patiently and reapply after 1-1.5 years.stevo8989 wrote: ↑Thu, 20 Jan 2022 8:38 pmHi All,

during appeal process, they will ask for appeal letter meh ?
It can be either electronic or physical. What matters is the content if it is really valid to turn the decision. In most cases, appeals failstevo8989 wrote: ↑Fri, 21 Jan 2022 7:23 pmyou have to send in a physical appeal letter. If appeal letter says that i just ROM-ed, is it a good enough valid reason ??singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Fri, 21 Jan 2022 9:45 pmIt can be either electronic or physical. What matters is the content if it is really valid to turn the decision. In most cases, appeals fail
Congrats on the promotion and accompanying salary increment. Unfortunately as SF says, the increase in not nearly enough to make a difference, being “close” with extended family will also make no difference. The only thing that will make a difference is time. Wait a year or two before reapplying, by then perhaps some other factors will have changed for the better for you.stevo8989 wrote: ↑Thu, 20 Jan 2022 8:38 pmHi All,

Any idea of appeal success rates? I’ve still yet to personally hear of a success story, singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Fri, 21 Jan 2022 9:45 pmIt can be either electronic or physical. What matters is the content if it is really valid to turn the decision. In most cases, appeals fail
It’s not something they ask for, just an implicit option.HODL wrote: ↑Fri, 21 Jan 2022 10:11 am10mnths..... rip.stevo8989 wrote: ↑Thu, 20 Jan 2022 8:38 pmHi All,

Be very strategic with your recommendation letters. In SG, it’s not about who is writing the letter, it’s about what they’re writing, the best letters are ones that support your character but also show that you have made a notable contribution to SG, doesn’t matter if it was written by an MP if the MP has nothing real to say about you.yanyaninsg wrote: ↑Fri, 14 Jan 2022 12:06 pmThank you SF! Definitely gave me something to think about.
The reason I mentioned MP is because we are in the same community/church, and volunteer/serve in different capacity, I know it's not "something great to Singapore", so just want to know whether it will make a slight help on the chances.
(not trying to take it as shortcuts)
