Entry to SG from UK
Entry to SG from UK
Hey all
I’m due to fly to Singapore on 22nd Feb to start new role.
I have my work pass granted and flights booked last October.
With the recent Covid numbers here, Singapore has shut boarders from UK travellers.
I do understand this, given the terrible situation at present. But I’m wondering if anyone has any information on when this may be lifted as it doesn’t say.
Bit of a predicament really as I’ve already had Covid so have some level of protection and also wayyyyyy low down on the vaccine list as under 30 years old.
Appreciate there may be no answers and everyone’s guess is as good as mine, but worth an ask! More of a vent if anything.
Hope you’re all well out there and life is beginning to get back to normal

no one can able to guess
Re: Entry to SG from UK
Email ICA. It is possible that they’ll give you special
exemption to enter.
They allowed me to do so - although granted my reason was for my SC wife to give birth.
Doesn’t hurt to ask.

Agree with Sunjackal, if you’re coming for work it doesn’t hurt to ask ICA. Since you’ll be coming for a legitimate reason and not just to vacation they should be relatively open to it as long as you’ll follow the standard testing and quarantine procedure.
Re: Entry to SG from UK
Thank you! Just sent an email now fingers crossed!
Glad you were able to get in

Hopefully! Have sent them an email, thank you for your reply.Lisafuller wrote: ↑Mon, 08 Feb 2021 12:24 pmAgree with Sunjackal, if you’re coming for work it doesn’t hurt to ask ICA. Maybe the fact I had Covid in November means I’m less of a threat as super unlikely to have it again!

There are cases of reinfection in other countries.
Singapore just have a case of Covid-19 reinfection
Re: Entry to SG from UK
Sunjackal do you have the email you used for ICA, it doesnt seem to list one on their website?

Also I forgot to mention, if you’re in Singapore there are quite a few private clinics that administer the vaccine, there is no age limit like the government program, you just need to be 18.rossb9 wrote: ↑Fri, 08 Jan 2021 7:00 amHey all

In respect of the above, I was in Singapore from July to December 2020 when our son was born. Our permanent relocation is in two months. Nearly there!Lisafuller wrote: ↑Thu, 27 May 2021 11:19 amDid you end up making it into Singapore?Sunjackal wrote: ↑Wed, 26 May 2021 8:22 amReally sorry. I just noticed this question.
