Student PR application - Primary School certificate required ?

Post by desi59 » Wed, 06 Jan 2021 11:36 am

Hi

My daughter is applying for PR as a foreign student. Despite it not being mentioned anywhere in the requirements she was asked to upload Primary School exams transcripts. When she clicked "I do not have these' and explained that she did her Primary school in France, where we do not have such exams. Next field requested to upload a certificate of Primary Education completion, and this is mandatory so we cannot continue with the application. She did upload her IGCSE and IB results under secondary education and has the relvant document for her tertiary eduction as well, so not sure why Primary school is relevant.

The only document we have is a photocopy of a letter from her old school specifying that she attended there form the age of 6 until 11. As it is a photocopy, even if I get it translated it seems the French Embassy won't certify it.

Any suggestions ? Thanks

From what I understand, in order to apply for PR status, you will need to provide proof of passing at least one national examination. In your case, you will have to provide her proof of passing PSLE, since she’s not old enough to have taken the O or A level examinations.
