Looking for chinese students in Singapore

Post by candice.chua » Tue, 05 Jan 2021 12:24 pm

Dear all,

We have a newborn baby (2 months old) and would like to her to spend some time each week with a native mainland Chinese speaker for a few months before she can join formal language classes. Would anyone know how we can find a mainland Chinese community in Singapore (e.g., on WeChat), ideally with university students, where we can look for such a "big sister" for her?

Many thanks!

P.S. We grew up speaking Mandarin as well but would like her to meet someone with native fluency

I don’t have anyone to recommend, but you can try babysits.com. They offer babysitting services and many of the babysitters are proficient at Chinese. You’ll have better luck finding someone there.

Don't think this is the correct place.
They are usually at wechat groups.
I have dozens of such groups

By the way, setting up playgroups won't help.
What you need is daily interactions
A babysitter is the correct way to go
