PR approval - daughter

Post by BBCDoc » Tue, 29 Dec 2020 11:41 am

Hi All,

Just to share, my 2.5 year old daughter just had her PR approved. Rest of family are also PR (she has elder sister, in local school).

Whole duration from application to approval took 18 months.

Good luck and patience to those still waiting, may 2021 bring more hope and happiness to all!

Congratulations, BBCDoc. I'm sure that takes a weight off the daily mental stresses.

Thanks SMS, it does indeed make life so much easier for the whole family planning.

Not sure if other PR applications for children are also taking as long. Definitely confirms such a long waiting game now for less urgent cases

Very nice BBCDoc.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Hi All,

Sharing an update to the PR formalities completion process in the first week of Jan.

1. Making online appointment - we did not receive any confirmatory email with a barcode for the appointment date. Make sure you book it into your personal calendar! The barcode on the original IPA letter can be scanned at the ICA appointment scanners, and that will issue the queue number for that day.

2. In the ICA PR room, 2/3 of the room was closed off. Probably 15-20 families at most were there 1000h. Maybe this gives an indication of how many PR approvals are going on right now...

3. For my 2.5yo daughter, the whole completion process took 15mins from start of document review to approval documents.

I love this level of efficiency...
