PR approval chances after 3 months

Post by Michealt » Mon, 28 Dec 2020 11:57 pm

Hi,
Newbie here(Malaysian Chinese, early 40 )
I applied my first PR on early September 2020. Until now, the status still show 'pending' which I do know this is usual as the processing time is 4 months to 6 months or longer.

Just wondering if the PR application is rejected, will ICA let you know the result much earlier?nfor example..within 3 months or so?

I am trying to figure out my chances of application.

Thanks for your feedback.

We've seen PR application take as long as 23 months on several occasions. Some were approvals, others were rejections. Time taken is absolutely no general guideline, sad to say.

Yep, you've got it in a nutshell. There is absolutely no crystal ball with regard to time taken for an outcome, either good or bad. You buys your ticket and takes your chances.
