[Urgent] My STVP extension pending and STVP will soon expire

Post by sazzy » Sat, 26 Dec 2020 5:23 pm

Hello everyone, Urgent advice needed.
I am waiting for outcome of STVP extension by my X-employer. After EP termination, X-employer has issued a STVP, later applied for extension on my request.

The outcome is pending and my STVP will expire in 2days (Saturday and Sunday not working days).
Do i need to exist SG urgently?
Or I can stay until outcome?
Thank you in advance.

So you waited until the weekend to try to game the system instead of contacting either MOM or ICA? Good Luck.

Game? Dont assume.
I have a situation that required extension.
I contacted both MOM & ICA they suggested to put extension via X-employer. Bit outcome is pending. Thanks.

When did your employer put the extension in via ex-employer? Friday? If it had been me, regardless of the extension application date, I think I would have been on the phone on Friday with both agencies due to the nature of the time frame. In fact, I think most people would have done so. So as I said previously, Good Luck.

hi sazzy! did you get the extension approval before your stvp expires? becoz i have the same situation now, and even after going to MOM office, they cant gv me anythng.
Im worried about being penalized of overstaying even i dont hv a choice but to stay due to flight reasons.

Hi, my extension stayed pending until a days before expiration. So I booked urgently and I left SG before expiration. I was prepared for it as a Plan B.

However, if you don't have a flight then that might be a valid reason for extension. You may need to show flight information for at least 3 airlines, as a proof.
You or your employer can choose it as a reason for extension. Hope it helps.
