+1

This is what I didn't know in 2012 and 2014 (when I was rejected for PR). The numbers are really against you if you are Indian (7.5%) or worse - Other (2.5%). Given the 30K annual PR quota, that's a quota of 2250 for Indian and 750 for Others - and the Others quota includes all the (generally much better compensated) Western expats.

So the only option is to try and try. The caveat being if you try and are rejected, you would need to strengthen your profile before trying again. But regardless of how strong your profile is, probability-wise it really is a lottery.

Hi TF,
Sorry to hear that.
Could you please share how long your application processing time for this outcome?
If you look at his posts history

November 2020 for the 6th time - Application
Last week of March 2021 - Rejection
Thank you Sir. So there would be more chance for positive outcome if processing time is longer than 6 months. Could it be..?

We've seen them go as long as 23 months with both approval and rejection. Length of time has absolutely no bearing on success or failure. It is simply a matter of how long it takes to verify everything they are checking. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hi all , here is an update: My Application was rejected last week.
The rejected letter indicated: You may submit an application again if there is a change in your circumstances (from the information provided in this application) Please advise recently all the reject letter indicated the same information? Thanks all for your replies.

Received my rejection recently and this was not mentioned in my letter. It just said that the Application is rejected and I may continue staying on my valid pass.

If the moderator was a bot, the answer would be
“Between Low to Zero”

Take a Q number, there are blokes who’s been >5 years with multiple rejections.

Low chance for now. Stay longer than 5 years and then apply.

Unless your profile is similar to Anthony Tan who came to Sg at 2013/14 and became a citizen at 2017.

That was N years ago and it may not repeat again.

Pretty damn sure it will.

Boxes ticked
1. Ethnicity and nationality
2. Age
3. Education
4. Job ~ rather, he’s the one creating jobs
5. Most importantly, raised capital from Temasek

I joined another company during my PR application, the salary has increased a lot and I want to update ICA about the changes. My questions are:
1. When should I update ICA my job changes? Offer letter? First month payslip?
2. Can I update ICA with my offer letter since I worried that at the time the first month payslip is available, I has already been rejected.
