I joined another company during my PR application, the salary has increased a lot and I want to update ICA about the changes. My questions are:
1. When should I update ICA my job changes? Offer letter? First month payslip?
2. Can I update ICA with my offer letter since I worried that at the time the first month payslip is available, I has already been rejected.
Better to update with payslip. Even if you submit offer letter there is no guarantee that it will be surely approved.

Since we are talking chances, may I get some expert opinions on my chances:

ME:
Indian
Living with wife and daughter in SG for about 6 years
3rd job change in SG. Now with a most top tech company.
Blessed with a boy about an year ago
MBA
3rd attempt with family
>200k earning

Wife:
Double Masters
Not working

Any other details needed? Thoughts? Recent similar approvals?

Well, if you have been applying for the whole family, aside from applying too soon after last rejection, I have a feeling, based on your occupation, specific industry and current income, that ICA sees you as a flight risk. High Tech Cloud consultant and salary that makes you apparently very good at what you do, hence from Singapore's POV a flight risk to the highest bidder. If you to are to have a reasonable chance wait until Aug 2022 before reapplying.

Oh, unless you are basically an altruistic person, save your time on the charities. Singapore has been burned too many times by people from the subcontinent doing charity works only to get brownie points for PR or SGC applications, only to never be seen again after obtaining PR/SGC. (As a 13 year veteran of the PA, I personally can fully understand their viewpoint. Now, unless you are really a charitable person, it's a waste of time if doing it for reference points on your application if that be the case ( mention it only because you mentioned it in view of your application).

This is rough to hear, I grant you, but I'm not in the habit of blowing smoke. You belong to the next to the smallest ethnic group ('others' being the smallest at 1.5%) with the highest number of physical applicants annually for the approximately 2250 positions annually earmarked for your ethnic group out of roughly 30K PR given out annually (Singapore uses immigration to maintain the current demographics here, which they are comfortable with). You are competing with all you countrymen here for the same 2250 positions. ICA has to figure out who will make the best candidates to become citizens and who will not and who will ultimately give up the PR for greener pastures. It is what it is.

sundaymorningstaple , Thanks for the inputs. this is definitely insightful. Infact to your point on time spent for charity work for brownie points, the current PR application system does not mandate to specify the charitable work you have been doing. It just requires the applicant to provide the right documents. I see a lot of people trying to submit additional documents separately with Profile, references/recommendations, certifications, charity work etc etc. Does these really matter?

Certifications - if this is something rare, yes it will matter. So, not just any certification.
References/Recommendations - Depends who has given this
Charity Work - if you have done it for N years even before your first PR application, it MAY

Hello everyone,

I wonder how likely would I be able to obtain PR?

Gender: Male
Age: 36
Family: Married, no kids, wife is in SG (housewife, not working)
Citizenship: Hong Kong (Chinese)
Education: Bachelor of Business Administration
Current Job: Product Manager (e-commerce)
Annual Salary: Around 130-140K
In SG since Feb 2020

Should I apply already...?

Thank you!

Apply after 3 years of working in SG. Else, looks too early.

Thank you very much, so I better wait. Other than the timing how likely would I be approved for PR base on my profile? I will apply together with my wife as we plan to settle in SG and not going back to Hong Kong.

Thanks again :)
