Facebook got hacked?

Post by abbby » Fri, 04 Dec 2020 4:55 pm

Had a message from Facebook saying someone tried to access my account from Hong Kong at 3 am..SO the question is, did Facebook actually block the person from logging in or did the hacker managed to log in and later blocked? Anyone had similar experiences?

I am not sure if the hacker was successful. If your password was not changed, the hacker was probably not successful but change your password and add 2FA if FB is important.

Abby, yes . I currently use my phone fb app as a code generator to verify new fb log-ins . I do not know if the old method of just texting the code to your phone is still available.

Great thanks..let me go figure this out.
Seems like Gmail and Facebook are always targets of account hacking.
