Manicure businesses

Post by abbby » Thu, 03 Dec 2020 11:10 am

Can they really be profitable? For example charging each customer $80-$100 per treatment, and rental and employees would easily cost them $5,000 - $7,000 a month. Breakeven 3-4 treatments a day...So they must at least have 8 customers a day to make a decent profit?

A lot of these businesses actually offer more than just manicure services. Many also do pedicures, spas, and treatments. Coupled with upselling customers, they can easily charge over $100 per customer. If it wasn’t profitable, there wouldn’t be as many manicure businesses as there are today.

I doubt it hahaha, except maybe the less legitimate ones. I’m pretty sure that is illegal, so if there were, they are probably no longer in operation.

My friend used to work in a manicure shop. Her pay is not so high though.

Very interesting point brought up. Not sure how this "extra" services will go in such COVID times. even the legit ones are facing plenty of challenges ahead i believe.

Same way it work in hospitals. Disposables. Bit of modifications and/or sensations but I assume that the risk is worth it. I don't know, never had a massage.
