Can I change passport during EP?

Hi,

I have two passports, China and Hong Kong. I used China password to apply EP and got approved, then I worked in Singapore for 1 year and renewed another 2 years using China passport. For some reason, I want to renounce my China passport and only keep Hong Kong passport. Shall I go to notify ICA about the change? and How? Will it affect the renew of my EP?
