10th PR Application

Post by nkhant » Fri, 27 Nov 2020 3:01 pm

Dear All,

A bit of my PR application history:

08/2007: Start working in SG, holding S-Pass

06/2008: 1st PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 35, Salary: $2,500)

08/2008: Resigned from work, and changed to Student Pass for a M.Sc. course at NTU. PR application rejected with reason being change to Student Pass. Received an ICA's invitation letter for PR application upon completion of M.Sc.

02/2010: 2nd PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 37, Salary: $3,200) after completion of M.Sc. and started working again with Employment Pass. Rejected.

05/2011: 3rd PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 38, Salary: $4,000). Rejected.

09/2012: 4th PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 39, Salary: $5,000). Rejected.

07/2013: 5th PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 40, Salary: $7,500). Rejected.

09/2014: 6th PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 41, Salary: $7,500). Rejected.

09/2016: 7th PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 43, Salary: $7,500). Rejected.

08/2018: 8th PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 45, Salary: $7,500). Rejected.

06/2019: 9th PR Application (with wife & daughter, Age: 46, Salary: $8,000). Change of company before outcome. Rejected.

Our Profile:

Me: Myanmar. Construction Project Manager with Engineering Degree. 47 yo.
Wife: Myanmar. Part time accountant with Economic Degree. 41 yo.
Daughter: Myanmar. Sec 4 next year at Gov School.16 yo.

Apart from being older and older, the only variation I can think of for my next 10th application is to remove my wife from application, and go ahead with only myself and my daughter.

Hope you guys could share some experience/ advice/ comments for my next application. (Definitely don't want to go for "immigration agents")

since 1st application, you have apply as family. What make you think that by remove your wife will be better chance

You have apply yearly, which mean the rejection come fast.

Did you apply when received the invitation?

Yes, I did apply once I completed my study & obtained an employment in 2010. Rejected.

Reason for thinking to leave my wife out from my next application is that ICA might not want to “waste” available slots of PR by using 3 slots for my family.
