Braces rates

Post by abbby » Tue, 24 Nov 2020 4:35 pm

I was quoted about $3,500 for metal braces and one was an exception quoted me $5,000. And I asked why is it $5k much higher than most clinics she replied that treatment is done by an orthodontist. I was a little puzzled I thought all braces are done by orthodontists??

Anyone has braces experiences and recommendations?

I wouldn’t go cheap on that one... the orthodontist needs to have some sense of aesthetics. A common problem is teeth that end up too straight... not a natural look. My daughter is having braces now and the package price was S$5k+.

Interesting topic of aesthetics vs costs.

Is there anywhere which we can see reviews on local Orthodontist?

Thanks for the advice, makes very good sense...looks like $5k is also the average for cost of braces...did it include retainers in your $5k package?

Usual rates for braces are around 3-5K, depending on a variety of factors such as the condition of the patients teeth which will in turn have an effect on how long the braces need to be worn for the dental issues to be corrected. There is a fairly reputable dental office in Botanic Gardens MRT station. I can’t remember the name but the location is relatively central and the rates are reasonable. A google search should be able to provide you with more details.
