I doubt the gahmen will make it mandatory here in Singers, for 3 reasons:
1. They've been less heavy-handed so far vis-a-vis Corona than they could have been.
2. A minimum of about 60-70% vaccination is required for herd immunity to kick in, and the degree of dissent (read: anti-vaxxers) here won't exceed the 30-40% difference by any stretch.
3. Should this fast-tracked vaccine blow up after the fact, it could get pretty ugly in a hurry.
Mind you, I do think that getting vaccinated will get you certain medical, travel and entertainment benefits. So the path of least resistance will be to get vaccinated.
*All that being said, I would be quite surprised if any wholesale vaccination campaign would start at all before end of 2021. There's just too much still to be done in terms of trials, approval, manufacture, distribution etc. And even then, yes, it will be front-liners, elderly and susceptibles first, before the general population gets their jab.
*Disclaimer: Provided there's no monkey wrench mutation in the interim.
