can landlords taking photos while tenants still there?

Post by pianokkk » Fri, 06 Nov 2020 8:31 pm

Hi all, I’d like some advice.
I am renting my current place, and my landlord is trying SUPER hard to sell the place.
The place was unfurnished when I moved in, and the landlord's agent is asking to take videos and photos of our current place so they can put these photos on the internet and market the property.
I personally don't feel comfortable about it. Cuz the entire house has been furnished with my family's personal possessions includes the two beds, sofa, TV, dining table, study table, playpen, etc.
So I want to ask a question, am I obligated to allow my belongings to be photographed for this?

PS: we just renewed our lease a month ago for another 24 months.

I would just flatly refuse people to take photos when I am residing in it. It invades my privacy and is just not polite.
