A pleasant day to everyone!

We are living in Singapore for 12 years. I got my DP from 2008. The following year my child was born (2009) she got also DP. We renewed our DP every 2 years smoothly. Except for this year it was rejected.

My husband is holding S pass. He started working on his company 2008. But last 2014 the company was bought by another one. Changed also its name. My question is this the reason why our DP got rejected? Last 2018 when we renewed our DP it was still under the name of his previous company before it was bought. Now they are not using that name already and using the new name who bought them. I was thinking if they thought my husband shifted to another company and the salary should be $6000. But he didn't change his company it was bought by another one.

The reason for rejection is: this person is not qualified for DP privilages.

Can you all please help me what to put in our appeal?

Thank you very much.
In short even if bought over, it is treated as a new company/employer. So, he would need 6000 to get his eligibility for DP. Think in this way, if it was bought over and it is the same company, why did they apply EP for him in the first place.

Thank you for your reply. Company just renewed his S pass. They did not change it to EP.
But you had mentioned that company name had changed as per your post, which means it is treated as a new company and in this case for DP he would need to make 6K SGD

You deleted the main post to make this entire thread meaningless, luckily i had quoted your initial message in my reply

This is not on. Deleting your original post after getting an answer.

Don’t bother doing it. It has been quoted in SF’s reply. Because you’re not the first and won’t be the last to pull this stunt.
