Ask again if it get up to 18 months, until then, nothing abnormal. It's a waiting game. With only a Poly Diploma it might be difficult.

Congratulations, jujubebe. Good to see a relatively short wait for Indonesian Chinese. In your case, probably the deciding factor was the 10 years and family ties already here. Nevertheless, congratulations are in order. Make the best of it. ;-)

I think the process is going to be slow again due to rise in COVID cases :(. Hope & pray the situation does not get worst and it's back to normal very soon.

I doubt things will be affected. Most of the admin can be done remotely.

Unless the government changes it's direction away from this zero Infection strategy it's only going to get worse. It is more or less accepted that it is endemic in the world at large. Singapore cannot survive by itself in isolation. The world doesn't need Singapore, Singapore needs the world. Damn big difference.

Without vaccinating enough, opening up will result in casualties of the weak and elderly. And it’s densely populated.

It’s well known that Singapore society is aging.

Put it another way, would you trade your grand parents for money. I’m not saying it’s wrong or it’s right. I just know there are people out there who would.

True Lisafuller, but I think the PR formalities after getting approval can't be done remotely and need to visit the office!

You’ve got a point, but I don’t think the delay will be too bad anyhow.
