Is it more difficult for a single person to get PR compared to family?

Not necessarily. If you are a single female Chinese Malaysian with a decent degree and of child bearing age it's a walk in the part. This would be followed by male Chinese Malaysians and thereafter everybody body else to a lesser extent.
