Re: EP Processing Time Sep/Oct 2020
Several years ago, a large number of fraudulent degrees were found to have been used by various nationalities with regards to lack of verification. (Wasn't always required and any verification was done either by the relevant ministries or their verification teams in various countries (or seconded out to independent teams there). With the advent of covid, this is no longer realistically possible so something else was required. (I lost two S pass holders from Myanmar due to this problem - and they had been in my employ for around 2.5 years (6 months on their first renewal) when the independent teams got back to MOM. MOM sent a field team to my office and I had to call both technician in from the field immediately. MOM took them away, and eventually they were sent back to Myanmar. This phenomenon happened with lots of companies and with the advent on Covid in 2019, I can understand the requirement of producing said verification of academics along with the transcripts and sheepskins, etc. What transpired in the past is not the way renewal or new applications are handled today. It's getting harder and harder to defraud the government. The onus is now on the applicant to provide the verification proof, not MOM or ICA.
So, in answer to the other question, a 3rd party processor (aside from the fact that they are ripping the applicant off as well) needs to submit the same thing that you would have to submit if you applied direct. The only benefits to using a 3rd party processor is to the 3rd party. Their contracts with applicants (the small print) gives them the right to turn down requests for help. This way, if they know an applicant is in a not so good position, they will not take them on as a client (that is how they keep their 'success' rates high. The applications forms are designed to be filled out by N level holders. O level, Diploma and Degree holder should be able to handle the application with no issue. Additionally, the 3rd party cannot put anything down in the little fields except what you tell them. We don't advise using them.

Re: EP Processing Time Sep/Oct 2020
I'm currently haviing an EP validi until 2023. I applied for a new contractual (12month) job.
EP Application Submitted: October 13, 2020
EP Application Rejected: November 27, 2020
EP Rejection Reason according to Agency: "MoM feels the salary given to you doesn't commensurate with your credentials."
EP Appeal Submission: November 27, 2020
Still no news and I don't think I'll hear anything within the year.

Whitesneakers, please quit spamming the board with duplicate posts. Most readers get tired of reading the same post in multiple locations. And yes, most reads all relevant "new" posts. Your other duplicates have been deleted.

Approved Mon 19 Oct (email received at 6am so assuming decision was made a few days prior).
Caribbean passport, masters degree, mid-20s. Salary within $6 to $8k range.
Small company (under 15 employees) hence exempt from all job advertising requirements too.
Had a Work Holiday Pass prior, which I revoked as the pass wasn't getting me entry approval into SG.
5 business days from date of application to approval, 10 days total including weekends.
Very smooth process, thanks MOM![]()
Congrats! We almost have the same profile. Im marketing manager and 6k salary, in a new employer but waiting for spass approval. You got email directly from MOM? Were you also able to track using epol online?
Stay happy, stay positive. Trust in God's timing.

My experience:
Ep Application submitted: 3rd Nov
Approved on 13th Nov.
Don’t worry about high salary change etc, it doesn’t matter if the company has done all the due diligence before applying for EP (in my case, base salary increase is of 60% since it’s a big jump in the role)

Thanks for sharing your experience. It helps. I have just started my process but the company is applying on my behalf, so I guess I don't really have to do much, other than waiting?

It is the only way you can get an Employment Pass. The prospective company MUST apply for it. You cannot apply for that particular pass on your own as the company is the sponsor.HelloSingapore2022 wrote: ↑Mon, 24 Jan 2022 8:55 pmThanks for sharing your experience. It helps.
