Re: EP Processing Time Sep/Oct 2020
Has anyone with a salary between 5.5k to 6.5k been approved for their EPs during this pandemic period? I have submitted a new EP application as a Sales & Marketing Director at a small firm (under 5-10 employees hence exempt from job advertising requirements) at 6K monthly salary, and wondering what my chances are of approval. If rejected, can an appeal be sent indicating my salary would be higher, or would a change/increase in salary require a new application to be submitted?
From what I've gathered on here and other forums/groups it seems EPs are only being approved for high-level positions with salaries above atleast 8-9k per month?

Applied Fri 9 Oct,
Approved Mon 19 Oct (email received at 6am so assuming decision was made a few days prior).
Caribbean passport, masters degree, mid-20s. Salary within $6 to $8k range.
Small company (under 15 employees) hence exempt from all job advertising requirements too.
Had a Work Holiday Pass prior, which I revoked as the pass wasn't getting me entry approval into SG.
5 business days from date of application to approval, 10 days total including weekends.
Very smooth process, thanks MOM

Congrats Tabby17, indeed - the majority of the times it's a smooth process.
21 days for me... Waiting for the outcome.

Re: EP Processing Time Sep/Oct 2020
The inconsistency in that it took 5 working days for me to get my approval while people I've seen in other groups have had to wait way past the 3-week timeframe (some even 2 months and counting!) must be frustrating, hang in there. If everything you've written on your application is honest & truthful they should have no reason to deny you, barring factors like low salary or a non-specialized, generic position that could easily go to another Singaporean. It's not that they're being stingy on handing out EP approvals (they save that for PR applications instead
).
I wonder if each application is actually reviewed by a person or whether it's just luck of the draw.

Re: EP Processing Time Sep/Oct 2020
I'm in Singapore, had multiple EP's before.
It's still pending for the last 23 days.
Now it's taking more time - maybe there are further checks on the Organisation (esp. small companies with less than 50/100 employees).
I also hear that - Degree certificate checks are requested now. In case someone is applying for EP, better initiate for the Cert verification parallelly.
