I bet you love research and empirical evidences since you’re making a career out of it.CuriousPhD wrote: ↑Tue, 23 Mar 2021 8:25 amHi Everyone,

Thanks for sharing the link. I guess the most difficult task here is to gather the data points.the observer wrote: ↑Tue, 23 Mar 2021 8:36 amI bet you love research and empirical evidences since you’re making a career out of it.CuriousPhD wrote: ↑Tue, 23 Mar 2021 8:25 amHi Everyone,

Phd students love surveys no?
Also, note the PR seasonality. Bumper harvest right up to 2010-11, so you may need to exclude those who attained theirs during the bountiful period.

Salary is a bit on the lower side for a PHD. Too short duration of work in SG.CuriousPhD wrote: ↑Tue, 23 Mar 2021 8:25 amHi Everyone,

Try applying after your salary increases a bit more and after you complete 4 years of working exp in SG.

Your chances seem fine. Your salary is enough to support both you and your son, and you’ve been in Singapore for quite some time.

It is not just the salary. Pass type, quota etc will also matter.Lisafuller wrote: ↑Thu, 08 Apr 2021 10:42 amYour chances seem fine. Your salary is enough to support both you and your son, and you’ve been in Singapore for quite some time.

Ahh, I didn’t see that she was on SPass. I assumed she was on EP since she has been working in SG for so long.singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Thu, 08 Apr 2021 10:44 amIt is not just the salary. That’s the right mindset to have. I’m not sure the type of school your child attends will have any bearing on your application. At the very least, it shows intention to integrate into local society which should be looked upon favorably.minpotism wrote: ↑Thu, 08 Apr 2021 10:46 amagree... tho no harm tryingsingaporeflyer wrote: ↑Thu, 08 Apr 2021 10:44 amIt is not just the salary.
