This has been ongoing for god knows how many years. It is only recently that the SG gov is paying more attention.

Lots of shady money into SG property market especially.

the only time the Singapore gahmen care is when their ability to transact with corresponding banks is affected. the DOJ put Singapore on a 'gray list' about a decade ago and they cleaned up a bit then.
