PR approval chance in 2020 (re-application)

Post by nikb2020 » Sun, 20 Sep 2020 3:28 pm

Hello, first time to write in this forum, hope someone can give a sensing of my current status.
Husband: 31yrs, Filipino, 2yrs and 9mons in SG, S Pass, 100k salary, consulting, cyber security manager
Wife: 30yrs, Filipino, 2yrs and 9mons in SG, Dependant Pass, had part-time jobs before at F&B
We were married since 2016.

Last 2019, I've attempted to apply for both of us for PR. We were denied.

This time, I plan on re-applying but for myself only. I'll keep my wife as Dependant or LTVP.

May I know what are my chances? Thanks in advance!

You got rejected after applying as a couple/family. Going in alone this round is almost destined for failure. Good luck, you’ll need it.

Agree with my Leicester City teammate
Not sure how much your wife is earning, but I'm assuming she's been covid redundant.
That means that as a couple, you are only earning around 50k each. Not a lot.

Don't apply by yourself, if you are registered as married. It never works out well these days.

Thanks jamie9vardy and TropicalExpat. Got it.
Besides the salary part. Does having an S-pass have a factor? Will having an E-pass (slightly increase) my chances?

Family application is always the best. Trust me on that. Seek for some professional advise will be good
