Now with businesses, F&Bs slowly re-opening, restaurants are facing labour crunch as they have either retrenched the staff or they are stuck in their home country.
I wonder how are they going to solve this problem as many Singaporeans do not want to work in the F&B industry.

Not the only industry Singaporeans don't want to work in
What to do? We don't want foreigners ... but we don't want to work in F&B ... hire robots!

Learn how to cook. We almost never go out to eat, even hawker centres. Never have. Hate paying for ambiance we cannot eat. No real change in our dining habits.

That's a really good habit to adopt..we cook at home and I always reach out to outside food, not sure why, but maybe those are food I probably can't cook. Definitely very expensive to eat out all the time, I can imagine a year's food can take you for a nice holiday.

Unless you are grandma cooking doesn't seem to be a big thing with the local population. Eating out seems to be a preoccupation with the generations post grandma.
I once met a guy who was proud that he could cook one dish. His one dish was toast!

You cant cook everything.
Some of the stuff takes long time and effort to prepare well.
Sometimes you like to go out more for the vibe than the food.
You want to taste some new food.
It's IMHO about the right balance and not to exclude any of the options.
