Difficulty in getting a transfer FDW

Post by Melu » Fri, 18 Sep 2020 9:39 am

Hi,

Need some advise on the below:

The helper we had left us and transferred to another house.
Now we need another helper, we tried with lot of agencies, but could not get any as they say there are no transfer maids with them now.
Also some agencies say, transfer maids work permit are not approved nowadays for foreigners.

Anyone (EP pass holders) here got work permit approved for transfer maids recently? Is there any other opportunities? We really need a helper to take care of our little one.

You can only keep trying and make sure you are offering a good rate (at least $900/mth and probably better to be $1000/mth or more). You were stupid to release your maid in a pandemic (you can refuse, if the maid objects she has to serve notice and leave Singapore).
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

You will need to justify as to why you need a helper now with something like child caring need or pre medical condition
