EP rejected and appeal

Hello guys, can I ask does anyone have any experience as per below situation?

So I was offered a job and the company Ahelped me to apply for an EP, unfortunately the EP was rejected after 1month. And due to the fact that I am in SG at the moment and I will need a valid application to extend my short term visit pass, so I agreed with the company A to do an appeal.

And so during the appeal I attended a few other interview as well, and I have another job offer from company B. But my appeal with company A is still pending.

So my question here is, can company A withdraw their appeal so that company B can proceed to apply for my EP? Or is it possible for company B to just apply for my EP despite my appeal with company A is still pending?

Nope, cannot. Must have Company A withdraw the Appeal first. Otherwise, you stand a very good chance of throwing a spanner in the works.

I am in the same situation System Analyst (Perm) wherein lost my job due to Covid 19, and currently on STVP.

COMPANY A:

Sept 7 - HR applied for my EP.
Sept 8 - Application was rejected by MOM with no reason at all and HR filed an appeal on the same day. She just indicate the reason that I am experience and industry is same with my recent role.Til today (Sept 16) still no progress.

Pros:
1. Perm position and great benefits.
2. Govt company and no issue on SPASS

Cons:
1. Slightly lower (350) compare to my previous role. Having thoughts if this might be the reason my application was rejected.


COMPANY B:

Company B offered Sept 11 but cannot apply for EP due to existing appeal.
Pros:
1. Salary is same with my previous role
2. Govt company and no issue on SPASS


Cons:
1. Contract Role

Hi guys need your inputs or advise on below queries:

1. MOM website says it will take at least 3 weeks (or more), since appeal was submitted on Sept 8 - estimated timeline for the result is on Oct 7. Currently are there any instances wherein result was given earlier?

2. Whenever I checked my status online it still shows as Rejected, is there any way to check the status of the appeal besides waiting for HR to update?

3. Is it better to go for new EP application rather than to wait for the appeal?

4.If I ask Company A to cancel the appeal, how soon it will be updated?

5.Looks like I'll end up losing 1 of them. My STVP is until Sept 30, now I'm confused if
I'll just wait for the appeal result (reason to file another STVP extension with my previous company)
or
cancel appeal and let Company B file for new EP application ?
