Got confuse with reporting marital status to ICA

Post by angelsoetanto » Sun, 06 Sep 2020 11:50 am

Hello guys,

My husband is SG PR holder, he just got his PR while this pandemic (thanks God), and when he do the interview with ICA as PR formalities, the ICA ask if he married and if yes want him to give them my document, but since i was not here in Singapore because of pandemic (i got stuck in Malaysia for 6month and finally i now doing my quarantine in SG), he just tell ICA that we still proceed some other married document...so the ICA suggest him to tick single status. Now i'm planning to apply for LTVP after i finished my quarantine.

My question here, should he report to SG Government to change the single status to married status? if yes, where he should do the report? is it ICA? And how to report it?

Or, he just can report it when my LTVP get approve by ICA?

Thank you very much

When did you get married and when was the interview at ICA?

How can he declare as single when he was actually married? This looks wrong to me.

We get married on december 2019, and the interview is around may or june probably...
He tell the ICA if he already married but still need to proceed some married document because he is afraid that ICA need to delayed the PR or need reapply because he cant provide spouse document, and i still in Malaysia that time...and the person in charge of ICA tell them to declare as single first...so he just do the what he tell him to do..

I dont think it is right to declare as single just to fast track PR.

Update the marital status first and inform them of the mistake. Then apply for LTVP.
