PR Application Processing - 2020

Post by Singapore2004 » Sat, 05 Sep 2020 11:57 pm

Hi ,
I am working in Singapore on employment pass since 2005 (15 years plus). My PR application was rejected 4 times previously (last in 2017). I have applied for PR again last year and the application status is pending since last 11 months. I am an Indian (49 yrs old) and I am working in financial technology (data domain & senior position). Do you see any chance of approval of my application ? Thanks.

Very very low. Your age is against you. Your ethnicity is against you.
Depending on what you actually do in "financial technology", this seems too generic to make a call. But if you are say, a world leading expert in processing complex and unusual data sets, or maybe own some kind of propriety data, then that might change.

Are you married? Are you married to a Singaporean?
Do you have kids? Have you included them in your application.
What is your salary?

I rarely tell people they have no chance, and I would say for your case, keep trying if you want, but the odds are really stacked against you.

Was one of the 4 prior rejections during 2005-2008?

If yes, when it was as easy as ABC to obtain an SPR, coupled with subsequent rejections, the writing is on the wall.

Tell us some details on your education, family, what do you do in work, salary, etc.

At high level your chance is very very low because of age, ethnicity and industry you are working in.
