Spouse's PR application

Post by H.Yf » Wed, 02 Sep 2020 9:52 pm

Hello all,

I have a question in regards to my spouse's PR application. We are both foreigners.
Recently, both of us decided to submit our application for PR together. The original plan was to submit as joint applicants, where we declare each other's application in our respective forms.
Unfortunately, we missed out on the part where the requirement of the passport validity must be 6 months, therefore my spouse is unable to proceed with her application until she got her new passport.

My initial assumption was the issuance of the new passport from her country's embassy may take a while under the current circumstances. Since I have gathered all my documents and employment letters, I decided to go ahead first instead of asking for fresh documents from my HR again in the future. In my application, I did declare her as spouse, and her basic personal and in-laws details etc etc are included in the form.
But I went ahead as an individual application, instead of joint. Her signature was not in the declaration form.

But her passport was renewed way faster than we expected. Now that her application is back on track again, I was wondering can she submit it as a joint application, with my more in-depth information included and signature on the declaration form?
Or she should submit it in a similar manner as me? File in as an individual application, but declare me as a spouse, and input only my basic information.

My application was submitted nearly a month ago.

Thanks!

You must have just waited and applied as a family. Looks a bit complex now. Where are you both from?

Hi,

I couldn't find an answer in the forum, so asking myself.

Me and my wife are thinking of applying for a PR as a family (we're both EP holders), however in the required documents I don't see anything about her payslips (or Annex A). I wonder - how would ICA find out her salary? If they can get that information themselves, why is the main applicant (me in this case) required to provide payslips?

On a somehow related topic, I didn't see IRAS Notice of Assessment being required - are ICA getting that directly from IRAS?

thanks!

There will be a place you will authorize them to get it from ICA

No need annexure A for the dependant PR.

Thank you for the fast response :)

I suppose my spouse's payslips are also not required?
(Asking here before I start the application to avoid any unpleasant surprises)

Edit: I guess granting access to IRAS makes my question obsolete :)

regards
