Spouse = partner = same person right? Just wanted to be sure. If yes, exclaiming your spouse in an application is almost destined for rejection.imsanal wrote:I would like to add some personal info for some clarification upfront. I'm married and my spouse working in sg for last 5 years on SPass. I opted to study diploma and to work after that is to stay together with my partner. I don't know whether that caused the pr application rejected. I applied for PR alone but gave my partners IC and job details in application.
So all in how long have you been in Singapore?imsanal wrote:Hi all,
Yesterday I got my PR application rejected letter in mailbox. Was really surprised I would say, since I completed my diploma from RP, acquired a job in reputed semicon company, been working for last one year. All my international student batch mates from poly who got a job have a singaporean PR in hand and only my one got rejected.
Any help or insights would be welcomed.

What are the nationalities and races of your batch mates?
‘Reputed’ semi company - are you from India or South Asia?
I didn't exclaim my spouse in application. It's just my spouse applied pr separately. I did provide all my spouse's information and credentials in my application. Same have been done in my spouse's application.jamie9vardy wrote: ↑Tue, 01 Sep 2020 8:49 amSpouse = partner = same person right? Just wanted to be sure. Yes. All of them are 3-4 years younger than me and single.bro75 wrote: ↑Tue, 01 Sep 2020 10:14 amThere is a PR scheme for foreign students studying in local schools/poly/university. If your classmates are younger and on that scheme, they may have a higher chance of approval. Based on your info, you were already a bachelor's degree holder from your country who pursued a poly diploma in Singapore.
