Hi everyone,
Just sharing my SC journey.
I applied SC in Oct 2019 and received news that my application approved few days ago.
Status in myica website approved 2days before I received in-principle approval.
My wife also applied in sep 2019 and approved the same day as me.
Profile: Both Indonesian Chinese, 28, working in sg since 2014 and combined income 100k+. I am fr aerospace industry, while she is working in healthcare industry.
Currently we are doing singapore citizenship journey thru online session (quiz, videos).
All the best for those who are still waiting for outcome.

Yes, we apply separately.
Shortly after she applied for sc, we registered for marriage in oct 2019. After ROM, then I lodged my application.

wow congrats!. may i check what was the 'status' on the ICA website.
was it 'pending' before it was 'approved'?
or did it change from 'pending' to 'receiving attention' and then approved?

I suppose you got an email notification saying there was an update to your application, and you could download the IPA (pdf) right away after logging in to MyICA. Correct?

lot286, subconwretch - when I first login, I see the statement 'Citizenship Application has been approved'. When I click 'Enquire/View status', it is still pending.
Only two days later, the application status changed to 'APPROVED IN PRINCIPAL'. U can also download the attached approval letter.
One day after u received the letter, u can login to sgjourney to do quiz etc.
Yes, u will receive email saying that there is an update to your application status.....

Good. All congrats to you and your wife. I think you are (a) from Preferred race (b) your wife also applied (though at the time of application it was known) (c) Last but not least is that ONLINE application as against physical submission system ...... has made things better.

In 2011, I came to SG to study @polytechnic. After graduated in 2014, I started working and 6mths later, I applied for PR (wait about 2mths to get approval).
PR since 2015 and I renewed re-entry permit in july before getting sc approval in oct.

Great. This confirmation ought to put at ease those who have been obsessed with checking their physical letterboxes.
The in-principle approval letters are all pdf's to download from myICA and an email notification is sent out when there is an update.
I don't think they post physical letters anymore.(They certainly dont for those who have downloaded the pdf. If one doesnt download the pdf for months, maybe then..)

Dear Mr Malichman... YOu have got the approval almost in 12 months since the date of application. Even though you are from preferred race. You applied as a family which shows your commitment to stay at Singapore as a family.... all these things have worked in your favour but the period of 12 months only is really too fast in your case. What would be the possible reason apart from the above 2 things I stated, MAY IT BE DUE TO ONLINE PROCESSING OF APPLICATION BE THE SOLE REASON FOR THAT

Probably due to online process, and also with good profile.
The fastest I heard is my colleague case, 4 months. But his application tick all the boxes that we know.
