Apply for PR and LTVP 2020
Re: Apply for PR and LTVP 2020
Hi everybody,
I hope this is the right place to post...
My (M, British Citizen) PMLA has been approved and we have the LLE - hooray! My fiancee is a Singapore Citizen.
Could anybody advise whether it's advisable for me to get married and apply for the LTVP while I still have my job in the UK and associated income? I can then later resign to look for work in SG. Or is it possible (or even better?!) to leave my current UK job and get married in Singapore, applying for the LTVP as somebody who is recently unemployed due to the relocation.
Either is possible as I can take annual leave and work remotely in SG while sorting out everything; I just need to work out the logistics especially as there is the SHN on arrival currently.
Also if I might ask two more questions:
1) How long should I plan for the whole marriage and LTVP process (assuming a need to temporarily return to the UK to tie up some lose ends before moving permanently)?
2) I was approved for the LLE 20 days ago but yet to receive the physical copy in the UK. My fiancee has her copy with reference number, but is there a way to contact the ICA if my copy doesn't arrive? Or should I just be patient!
Thanks a lot for your help

MOCHS wrote: ↑Sun, 13 Sep 2020 9:45 amLTVP+ is only granted to foreigner spouses that have been married to their SC spouse for at least 3 years. Based on my initial application and renewal, I did not see any option to choose it in the application form and it could automatically granted by ICA once they see the marriage has lasted for at least 3 years. That is speculation on my part, I’ve only been married for a year and my husband got 1 year LTVP each for his first application and the renewal. I renewed my husband’s LTVP about 3 months before expiry.yueyang.tan wrote: ↑ Hey Miss @mochs just want to ask you, are all Singaporean’s spouses be granted ltvp+ automatically? Because I can’t seems to find the application for ltvp+ but only ltvp instead. And may I know are all spouses of Singaporean’s will need to renew their ltvp+ every 3 years is it? Or every year. Sorry to ask you such a noob question. ^^
Hey Miss mochs just wondering when you apply for your ltvp, the ica website stated that the sponsor have to submit 12 months cpf and 3 years income tax. But when I applied today there isn’t a section for those two. Is it the same for everyone?
Re: Apply for PR and LTVP 2020
That would be in the list of documents that you need to bring for the appointment after you get the in-principle approval. You’ll just have to wait.yueyang.tan wrote: ↑Tue, 24 Nov 2020 11:00 pmHey Miss mochs just wondering when you apply for your ltvp, the ica website stated that the sponsor have to submit 12 months cpf and 3 years income tax. Re: Apply for PR and LTVP 2020
Hi guys,
I’m a Malaysian Chinese (F) on EP currently. Married to native Singaporean for 3 months.
Would like to apply for PR directly under spouse scheme but was told that should wait for 3 years of marriage before applying, or have a child.
Hence we would like to try the LTVP route. Let’s say LTVP is approved, does that mean my EP will automatically be canceled?
As I understand, LTVP holders can work with LOC in Singapore. But I already have EP, do I need to apply for the LoC? Or I can continue to work and it’s an automatic transfer?
Thanks.

Apply for LTVP when Employment(EP) comes in trouble else just continue on EP (Save LTVP cost). When you hit baby or 3y, which ever comes first you could try with PR applicationahboo wrote:Hi guys,

Thanks for your response. Actually I intend to quit my current job once my 2 years bond is due this coming June. But am afraid that I couldn’t find a job in time and will have to go back to KL once the given social pass is up.DreamDream wrote: ↑Mon, 18 Jan 2021 4:43 pmApply for LTVP when Employment(EP) comes in trouble else just continue on EP (Save LTVP cost). Anyway, sidetrack abit. If I’m on EP married to SC, do we get government grants when we buy resale?

Re: Apply for PR and LTVP 2020
When you quit Employment, at last day of work HR will issue SVP with 30 days validation, at that time apply for LTVP. Don’t worry, you can get SVP extended by hubbie at almost in a day or two. You don’t have to go back....Enjoy your life...ahboo wrote:Thanks for your response. Actually I intend to quit my current job once my 2 years bond is due this coming June. Difficult? Definitely no.
Through agency? I won't encourage.
How to apply? Please read here:
