Hi, I am a Singaporean male and I am applying for PR for my wife for the 2nd time. Since we are new to this, I would like to seek some general opinion on the chances of PR approval. We applied the first time in June 2019 but was rejected, which I kind of understand as we were married for only 2 months at the time and she did not have LTVP then. Now we have been married for 1 year 5 months and she also got her LTVP approved last July
My stats:
Age: 25
Nationality: Singaporean Chinese
Religion: None
Education: Currently fourth-year in NUS, one of the top students and also with secure doctorate positions at a top 10 school in the USA.
Salary: 1.2K stipend per month (scholarship)
My wife's stats:
Age: 25
Race: Vietnamese
Religion: None
Education: Bachelor's degree from the USA, currently second-year master's student in the USA
Current field of work: Essential healthcare field
Length of stay: ~6 months for now
Salary: None
Pass: LTVP
She has been doing internship at SGH.
Any comments on the chance of approval will greatly be appreciated. I also have a concern about my salary. Although I am not working yet, I have stipend and we are both living with our parents for now. I also mentioned that to ICA when applying for LTVP and it was approved eventually. Do you guys think the same situation will hold for PR application? Thank you very much

PR FOR SPOUSE. HELP NEEDED
Re: PR FOR SPOUSE. HELP NEEDED
Based on past anecdotal information, you may need to be married for at least 2 years to have a higher chance of SC approval for your wife. There is no official baseline as to what salary of the sponsor is acceptable but your salary seems to be too low.
Re: PR FOR SPOUSE. HELP NEEDED
You should be married for 2-3 years to get a higher chance of PR approval. Any lesser and ICA would think that your wife married you for just the PR, hence the first rejection.
I’m also waiting to be married for at least 3 years before applying PR for my husband.

Re: PR FOR SPOUSE. HELP NEEDED
It will help OP if you apply once you are working (and no longer a studnet).
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

I found it difficult to say how they assess the application and the chances.coba20 wrote: ↑Tue, 25 Aug 2020 9:54 pmHi, I am a Singaporean male and I am applying for PR for my wife for the 2nd time. I got my marriage certificate in end 2018, 1.5 months later I applied under my wife's sponsorship for my PR (she was PR for only 1 year as well) and got approved within months. She is of Chinese race and me too (European citizen). She is a healthcare worker, so that might be the trick. And I earn more than here so considered sustainable income.
Your situation has changed a bit; she has gotten the LTVP. If there is a change in your life, then can consider to re-apply for PR. I read that she is working in the healthcare as well. Weird that it was rejected back then. But I have good hope for you this time!

Married end 2018, applied for PR under family tie in, say Jan 2019, got approved after a few months. And you are now a naturalised SC? Which speed train are you on? Or are you still a European citizen? I’m confused
All the more amazing, omitting your wife, who’s your PR sponsor from your SC application and got approved before being a PR for 2 years.
