Thanks @singaporeflyer
My wife holds Bachelor degree in IT and computing from NUS.
My self Bachelor Computers.
Income 80 and 200k respectively
Usually the person who earns more and has contributed more to SG should be the main applicant. Just my view. Also good if the main applicant has stayed / worked longer in SG

Thanks for sharing your views @singaporeflyer.
True. That’s why I applied last 2 times but no luck. My wife’s friends got citizen 2019, they also came to sg around the same time 2001 thru fathers dependent PR. But they are single. we trying our luck this time my wife is main applicant.
I will wait for others opinion too.

An update. Received the rejection email yesterday.
I am thinking of appealing against the decision.
Please could someone enlighten me about the appeal process. I am also thinking of reaching out to my local MP for his support. I don’t know if that could help in any way.

Glad to be corrected on this though.

The only way an appeal will have any chance at all is if there was something very relevant that was left out of the application (at the time of application - not if it came about after submission). Generally, it's like a computer program. If you put the same data in, the resulting output will also be the same. Sadly, ICA doesn't operate on a sympathetic ear basis. I know.

Hello @singaporeflyer,Moderators and active followers,
I have been following the forum “citizenship” for the last 3 years. Roughly i get to see the profiles of approval, rejection and chances of my application.
Benefits of others, especially @singaporeflyer I would like show my gratitude for your reply on my message above.
I am happy to inform you/all that the Citizenship application is approved in-principle. The timeline it took is really fast ~ 10 months.
I wish good luck for everyone.
Cheers.

It’s the wife’s profile that got them through. He’s said that she’s been here since she was 11 y.o. And she’s the main applicant this time around, instead.
