Written police record and EP renewal..

Post by Jonny1123 » Mon, 24 Aug 2020 6:20 pm

Hi guys, i've been fcked up recently..
WFH for almost half year, and i decided to try out some of the online personal services (i know i'm deserved this when i decided to try...first time try to figure out and got caught..

So when i arrived the place that mentioned by the "girl", 2 of the guys came to me and caught me.

I just realized they are actually polices...
So they wanted me to contact the girl again and asked the girl to open the door and let me in.

I guess u guys should know what happended next, the police rushed in and caught the girl...

They make a written record for me in the house, took photo of my EP, and asked for details of how i get to know this girl etc...

After everything done, the police said they wont charge me, the the written record is just for record purpose, they wont tell my company etc...and they let me go..

My concerned here is will this written record will affect my ep renewal?

Thanks and sorry for my poor english...

They only charge pimps and the "service" providers. I don't think they care about the johns unless the service provider is underage or there are other extenuating circumstances.

Hi Bro, thanks for replying..
But they did ask me a lot of things (my name, address, fin no, phone number, what i did, how i get contact with the girl, etc)..all the info were written in form, after done everything they did ask me to re read all the info and signed at the form...

They mentioned the form is only for record purpose, but i'm worry this kind of form will be sent to mom and affect my ep renewal...

The police keep on mentioned no charge for me, but they keep took photo of my ep...

Thats why i'm worry...is that kind of form really for record purpose?

Acquiring the services of a prostitute is not illegal in Singapore. You should engage a solicitor if concerned. I doubt MOM will care.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Hi PNGMK, thanks for replying too..

Yea i know it is no illegal..but since i am a foreigner..
Thats why will worry, the moment they caught me, i felt like my whole career, future were fxcked..

They took photos of my EP, and i did signed on the written form which contained my info, justification etc. I did told them i am the first timer and did not know what the girl could provided, just came to figure out...

Just wondering what is those form is for, is it really for record purpose? If yes, will my name appear in criminal record system? ( i dont know will this happened or not, i read up all the act of laws in SG, i cant find any law that can charge me tho...)

Will my employer find out if they apply pass renewal for me?

Thanks in advanced!

They may use the info you provided to investigate and prosecute the case so they need records in case it goes to trial but normally vice “girls” are usually foreigners and will just be deported.

I believe it is not a criminal record but to be sure , consult a solicitor for your peace of mind.

Stop panicking. It's a minor deal here. As other's have said they keep records for all sorts of purposes and nothing to do with MOM. Far more to do with concerns around pimps and organised crime.

Hi Bro, so i contacted one of the solicitor, and they suggested me to wait and see if the police will call me again.

To get clarification from the police, they can help me to write a letter to the police, which need $500.

What do you think? Should i proceed?

Thanks..

Listen to the solicitor since you already consulted with them.
