We are transferring up to Singapore from Sydney, previously NZ & UK, later this year, and will be up there for Easter.
Bearing in mind that alot of places may be closed over the break, can anyone give us some suggestions of what we should see/do to give us a feeling of what our new life up there may be like?
My husband has been up there a number of times but always on very quick business trips.
Any help gratefully accepted.

Why don't you look at apartments? Visit a few grocery stores? Rent a car and drive around a bit? Do you have kids? Schedule a tour of schools. I'd avoid the touristy things, you'll have lots of opportunity when you live here. People will visit and you'll go to Little India and the Zoo plenty of times. Do the things you'd do at home, have dinner and go to a movie. Then you'll have a better idea of what its like to live here.

I don't think you'll find much that's closed. The only time everything really closes is Chinese New Year.

There are even some hotels that offer this service for free, which is particularly useful if you have a lot of baggage as taxis can be very expensive.

I remembered reading this in 2016..I wonder if people still patronise them after such a horrific incident.
Do you remember this news?

yes. As a control systems engineer and Australia I was horrified and ashamed that it had happened.

Are cruises really over-subscribed?

Or is it just some marketing hype... Surprised people are still keen to go on cruises... What if someone has covid on board... The whole ship stays...

Might be worthwhile double-checking that, TE. I read citizens and PRs only, but including the rest makes more sense eh.
