Hi guys,
Its a long term goal of mine to eventually move to Singapore sometime within the next 3-5 years, and with that in mind I'd like to understand the hiring landscape, I've heard a variety of different experiences from different friends of mine who have tried but would like to expand the sample size of inputs.
My profile:
*I'm a single male in late 20s with no dependents
*Ethnic Chinese by background, second generation immigrant and New Zealand national.
*First language native speaker in both English and Mandarin
*Graduated my bachelors in accounting and finance from a top ranked university in Australia.
*Currently working for a large MNC bank in Sydney in commercial banking at with an income around 80K SGD equivalent a year, my internships were sponsored and completed both with large banks in Hong Kong
I understand my profile currently is still quite early in my career to realistically be considered in the banking field. However I'd like to think so long as my career continues to progress it wouldn't be out of question in 3-5 years time. Ideally of course I might find a secondment type arrangement but before then I'd like to get some in put so I can prepare and improve my profile a head of time.
My questions:
1.How many years of experience and typically at which level does it become feasible/realistic to be sponsored for e-pass or any work visa for Singapore?
2.For those familiar with banking, are there particular niches areas that are considered advantageous? (e.g. transactional finance, preference for non front office)
Many thanks

It's easy to get to Singapore in your situation. Just get your large MNC bank to relocate you. This is by far the easiest option for you.Dry Sashimi wrote: ↑Sat, 22 Aug 2020 4:09 pmHi guys,
