Chance may be low
1. His age is slightly high, salary little low and also ethnicity.
2. He might have got his PR during 2008 when it was a little easy compared to now

Your PR sponsored by him getting rejected may indirectly indicate SC for him may be tough too. Anyway, hope for the best and wait for the SC outcome.

Who is the grassroot leader, is it your husband or youself? As far as I know you need to be a PR to be a grassroot leader. Anyway im hoping for the best for their SC application.

To be a Grassroots Leader (Peoples Association), if not a PR or SGC - can be an Observer only. To be an executive member or an Assistant Officer you can be a PR or SGC. To hold any appointed post (Treasurer, Secretary, Assistant Chairman or Chairman you must be an SGC.)

Sounds to me, like ICA is aware that the two eldest sons, being on Student Passes is probably a deliberate move to avoid their NS obligations. I wouldn't give a wooden nickle on their chances of getting him getting SGC. Not going to happen unless those kids are put on PR or LTVPs to start with. You cannot easily go from just a student pass directly to SGC. Those kids will have to apply for PR first and then subsequently apply for SGC IF they can get PR (should be relatively easy as long as it's don't before they reach 16.5 years of age).

All my kids had been to LTVP but once they enter primary school's , its a MUST to convert LTVP to student pass.

Yes, I thought that’s the requirement. And your husband tried applying PR for them and weren’t successful?

Yes, and trying for SC this time.
In case rejections comes (finger crossed - hopefully not), any advise that you can share to us to improve our chances to become PR & SC.
We've been here for a decade now and we really want to continue leaving here.
