Bintan lagoon resort is closing its doors and 500 staff will be laid off.
They had been incurring losses for 2 years.
I remembered they used to be a popular destination for golfers, and when I visited few years back they had bus loads of Chinese tourists..

Meh. I remember going there in the mid 90's. Nothing special.

You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA

May be good news since the place is rather run down, new operator could come in and do an overhaul to the place. Yup, nothing special and my experience when I was there was the resort's restaurants were all full house and they decline us having our meals cos of the Chinese tourists. I had to wait an hour for them to finish up before I could be seated.

It's been a zombie for some time. Companies that can't make it, go under, leaving a niche for green shoots to poke through and ultimately flourish.
That is to say, in the real world at least.
