Considering his IP address (German?) and a throw-away email address? Sixteen years moderating this board, and the fact that between the two active moderators we sweep about 40~60 scam/troll/spam posts every 24 hrs period 365 days a year? We pretty much have a gut feel for it. Why do they scam/spam/troll here? I wish I knew. It would sure make our job a lot easier and less time consuming if they didn't. And yes, we've had some good trolls & con-artists over the years as you are well aware of, considering you've been on the board near as long as I have.

Yeah, occasionally we are wrong but overall it's a pretty small percentage. There will always be some collateral damage, but it's better than having to wade through tonnes of garbage all the time. My comment was meant to draw him back out if he wasn't what I thought. Had I been sure, his posts wouldn't have survived as I'm sure you are aware of.
SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers
