Also waiting. HR told me that the agency called MoM and they told them there was a problem with the documents because of a portal migration. They uploaded everything on the 3rd, so I keep waiting (over three weeks in total now). I have no idea how long I have to wait and I am not happy with the way the agency is handling the application.

@hriday9 @hellofriday and the others, any news or update on the E pass? and those still outside of sg. want to ask what are the chances of S Pass approving also even though MOM's website say 90%? Btw, do MOM see the application according to applicant's external factor? such as how long the person live in SG and whether study in SG all those or usually for work pass just look at salary requirements and eligibility

Hopefully you all are reading the Straits Times......

@sundaymorningstaple just now joined the forum. I did read the recent EP articles in Straits Times but nothing that indicated long processing time. Most were around increased salary requirement and debates about quota. Anything I missed?

My status- new EP applied from outside SG on September 9th.

As the criteria has/is changing, those coming up renewal will be scrutinized much more thoroughly and those that they deem borderline will probably be rejected because if their salary history jump is inordinately high compared to their previous increases, then I'm pretty sure they will be considering the whys considering most companies are showing negative growth due to the pandemic. New Application will probably be compared with the application history for the company as well and a large jump in basic salaries would indicate the employer may well be inflating salaries (and the potential of kickback schemes which is being hunted down with a vengeance in the current economy) to avoid the hiring of locals. It is what it is.

2 of my friends received their EP, both around 2 weeks, applied in near end of July.
1 is retrenched and joining new company (WP to EP).
1 is converting from external vendor staff to internal staff, EP to EP but different company names.
Both are staying in SG.
Hi @jun-jie.gan your friends are in IT industry (software/hardware)?

Thanks for the insights, really appreciate it. I’m pretty confident I don’t fall into the ‘inflated salary’ situation and my employer has a reputation to follow the book. It’s wait and watch at this point. Again, thanks for the insights.

So has anyone in this thread been successful? It seems we are all waiting since the end of July and beginning of August...

Congratulations! Was EP and DP applied simultaneously and was it from outside of SG or from within SG? Also was it new or renewal?
