WIll TikTok be pressured to sell off to Microsoft? What are your thoughts?

I personally don't use TikTok as I find the app rather meaningless.

Chinese firms are suffering due to the escalating of tension between China and US / India.

Sale of Tiktok may be a solution if China's international relations do not improve soon enough.

And it is reportedly also malware that collects way too much information and sends it back to servers in China.

I'm often dubious of these sorts of reports, particularly if they come from US companies or law enforcement. However a guy did reverse engineer the app and discovered a lot of naughty goings on. So maybe there is some basis to the reports. There is a link below if anyone is interested.

I am skeptical about any US reports nowadays, a lot of reports or studies during this time (Trump) is a propaganda for political gain.
