Appeal for EP rejection chance and extend stvp ?

Hi, due to the covid19 my company lay off me and my ep is cancelled already, currently my stvp will be expired in 2 weeks time.
Luckily i found a new job and the company apply new EP for me. However, i was known that my application is rejected. Im not sure the reason bcs the application is done by another 3rd party company partnering with my company. They didnt tell the reason and just said they submitted appeal.

I know current covid time (plus national election) the EP may get more tough.
Anyone knows how long does it take for appealing and what is the chance of success? Im a software developer with 3 years exp

Should I ask my previous HR to apply MOM for extending my STVP ? Cause im afraid that it will take longer for appealing.

How long for MOM to process extension for stvp and how much more time they give under this situation (phase 2 CB)

Appeal in normal circumstances will take 3 weeks. Now due to COVID, the processing time MAY be a little longer too. Chance of Success - No one here can predict.

Thanks for the info, yes the MOM page also states 3 weeks but as I mingle around the forum its quite varies from 3 days to 2 months so wanna look for some current solved cases for more info. Btw, if that is the case do you think i should contact my previous hr to apply for an extension of STVP, will it mixed or confused with my EP application appeal

Hi, you need to ask you previous company to help apply extend on mom.gov.sg/extend-stay

If you want to make sure, buy an air ticket and submit the form with the 2nd reason option. Otherwise its very random if they accept it or not.

I have same situation with you guys. Unfortunately my previous HR is not cooperative and they don't want me to extend. Right now I have pending appeal also. My SVP will expire on Saturday 29th August.

no i ask my previous HR to help, it seems thats the only way. You can try persuade them again

Otherwise you can go to MOM personally but Ive never been doing that so cannot give you any advice

I'm also under the same situation, my SVP expiring on 09/10 and my ex-employer refuses to apply extension for me. Also i find there's no way to make an MOM appointment for this regards also is fully booked...

i srsly dont know what to do now...

Hi I also in same situation iam delivery driver I previous employer don't have quota to renew my pass so I find a job I got a driver job on 23/09/20 they apply for me 5/10/20 I Saw The status is rejected I call my employer they say submit my appeal request just Today my stvp have only 14 days left please give me suggestions help your concern reply thanks

I am sorry to hear of your situation. Ask your employer to follow up with MOM, but don't expect anything - your employer might not even have applied for you.
Therefore be prepared to leave.
In no circumstances should you try to overstay. This will harm your future chances if you want to come back to Singapore.
They may even reject you for holidays in the future.
