Applying for a visa

Post by James_8 » Fri, 17 Jul 2020 6:21 am

I'm a EU citizen living for the last 6 years in UK.
I have been together with my wife for 5 and married for 2 and half years.
We married in the UK where my wife had a student visa originally, then a work visa by the time we married.
After getting married she applied for a UK marriage visa which she now holds.
We have been talking about moving to Singapore as she misses her family and friends and we plan to move there within 1 year time.
I work in the restaurant business and she is a Physiotherapist.
Which visa would be the better indicated for me to apply so i can move there and how long do the Singaporean Visas take to get approval ?

Is your wife a Singapore citizen? If yes, you can apply for a LTVP but it takes some time to process.

If she shows that she has been in working in SG and is financially stable, she can sponsor LTVP for you, else you have to look for a Work Pass (Employment Pass)

Based on what I know, she has to work in SG and show financial stability to sponsor your LTVP application.

As a Singaporean she will be able to sponsor you as a LTVP.

There are a number of other options available such as Entrepass, but it's not clear from your introduction whether you would be eligible for that.
